generation company | genco
A regulated or non-regulated entity (depending upon the industry structure) that operates and maintains existing generating plants. The genco may own the generation plants or interact with the short term market on behalf of plant owners. In the context of restructuring the market for electricity, genco is sometimes used to describe a specialized "marketer" for the generating plants formerly owned by a vertically-integrated utility (ERRA Legal Regulation Working Group Terms).

renewable energy sources
Means renewable non-fossil energy sources (wind, solar, geothermal, wave, tidal, hydropower, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas and biogases) (Directive 2003/54/EC).

renewables
renewable energy
RE
Energy sources that are naturally replensihed in the short term, including non-carbon technologies such as solar energy, hydropower and wind as well as carbon-neutral technologies such as biomass. There is considerable overlap between renewables and DE. When renewables are used to generate power where it is required renewables can be said to fall within the DE definition. On the other hand large wind farms, that are built remotely from where the electricity is used, do not fall under the DE definition.

In public distribution, in the short term priority is given to continuity of service.
[Перевод Интент]To guarantee maximum continuity of service even when there are overloads it is essential that the loads considered non-priority are managed and disconnected when needed by the transformer on the Low-Voltage side.
